Amanda is a PhD student researching the environmental impact of grassland conversion to Miscanthus. After previous work in financial services Amanda has pursued an interest in conservation issues, recently completing a BSc in Countryside Conservation. This included a research project investigating small mammal populations found within Miscanthus and adjoining habitats.
Role in MAGLUE:
As part of WP1, Amanda is involved in measuring greenhouse gas fluxes in land use change from grassland to Miscanthus across trial sites based in west Wales. Changes to soil carbon, water use, and hydrology are also being investigated.
